Fund Isaan alumni: "Petch" a diamond now shines!

Fund Isaan met Petch in 2017 when he was 16. He was studying Business Computer in his fourth year of secondary school at Prasat Industrial and Community Education College.

Petch parents were going through a divorce. We granted Petch a scholarship shortly after his father left his family “in search of a better life”.  His mother stayed alone. She grew vegetables and sold them at the morning market to support Petch education. Petch helped his mother after school and during the weekend. Despite all these difficulties, Petch stayed focused on his studies, his grade was 93%!

Petch loves to spend time on the computer, Fund Isaan gave him. He was extremely excited about this. He said his life became more meaningful; he used his portable to do his homework and school assignments.

He used his scholarship to pay for his tuition fees, school uniforms, gasoline (he went to school by motorcycle) and his additional expense during his long-tern internship in another province.

Petch graduated with a secondary school degree in Business Computer from Prasat Industrial and Community Education College in May 2019. He is now working as a Computer controlled mold die technician at a company in Samut Sakorn province just outside Bangkok.

Petch is very happy with his job. He is taking care of his mother and visits her regularly. He sent us below thank you note for his sponsors:

“I cannot thank you enough or tell you how much this scholarship means to me and my future. I hope to one day be able to help others like you have helped me. I have a special bond with my father; I am living with him now. I am helping my mother financially. I visit her regularly to make sure that she’s OK.

All this wouldn’t have been possible without your support. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Raicher for your kindness and generosity.

With gratitude,
Petch.”

We wish Petch all the best!
