Thai Consul to Flanders visiting Fund Isaan

Last week Fund Isaan was honored by the visit of Mr. Jocelyn Timmermans, president of Fund Isaan, a fund managed by the King Baudouin Foundation and consul of Thailand in Flanders and his spouse.

Together we visited Saikeaw School where we were welcomed by the school director, teachers and some of our scholarship students.

Mr. and Mrs. Timmermans took time to talk with each scholarship student to learn more about their lives and the challenges they face. Also they handed over the scholarships for the next semester.

They also visited the Fund Isaan computer class installed at Saikeaw School.

In the afternoon we took the family Timmermans on a bike ride through the rice fields along some small rivers, where they enjoyed the beauty of the country side.

Our honored guests reconfirmed their commitment to Fund Isaan and its cause. It was a true pleasure to have these highly respected guests with us for a few days.
