Tim became a Fund Isaan scholarship student in 2014. She was 19 and studying Public Health in her first year at Surindra Rajabhat University.
Tim has been self-supporting since she was 9 years old! At that age her parents got divorced and started their new lives with someone else. Tim has an older brother. They both were sent to live with her grandparents in a small village. Every weekend Tim and her brother worked in the local temple, cleaning, sweeping or collecting garbage. They worked very hard to survive. Together they made about 120 Baht (approx. 3,5 EUR) per day.
Tim has always been a great student. She wanted to go to university but her brother alone could not make it happen. Tim was incredibly grateful for her scholarship. Because of it she could study further and create a better future for her and her brother.
Even with the scholarship she still worked every day before and after classes. She used her scholarship to pay for her tuition fees, her school supplies and projects. She loved her studies very much and worked hard.
Early 2019, Tim successfully graduated with a bachelor degree in Public Health from Surindra Rajabhat University.
She is now a hospital assistant at Surin Public Hospital (testing for Sleep Apnea and other Sleep Disorders) She receives a good salary and takes good care of the entire family (her grandparents and big brother).
“Without any doubt, this scholarship has played a key role in achieving my educational dreams. Because of your generosity, the financial burden placed on me to pursue my education was reduced. I could spend more time on my studies, research and extracurricular activities and less time working and worrying about my finances. Thank you once again for your investment in my future. I have a good job and started taking care of my family now. Thank you very much for everything!”
