Pang is the oldest of two children. Her parents divorced long ago. Pang lived with her grandparents. Her father rarely supported her. Her mother worked on the small farm and outside the rice season as a day laborer in Bangkok (making approx. 300 baht/day). When we met Pang, back in 2017, she was in year 2 of secondary school.
Earlier this year Pang graduated from secondary school. And not only that, she also landed a good job at Ricoh Thailand (printers and copiers), which is not easy bearing in mind that Thailand is in the middle of the pandemic and more people get fired than hired.
Pang has even more ambitious plans. She enrolled at Sukhotai Thammathirat University in their online program, English. This way she can study and work at the same time. As this is not a full time study and Pang has a full time job Pang does no longer qualify for a Fund Isaan scholarship. We wish Pang all the best with her studies and career.
