Fund Isaan, sponsored by VZW Thaise Vrienden Wevelgem and Deloitte Southeast Asia (SEA), successfully installed six new computer classrooms between 8-11 of September, 2020!
Despite the Covid crisis Fund Isaan was able to hand over all scholarships for the first semester of the upcoming academic year, to all its active scholarship students! This will allow them to pay their tuition fees in a timely manner.
It is encouraging to see that all our students are on track to achieve their goals.
Thaise vrienden Wevelgem is a non-profit organization set up by a group of goodhearted friends in Belgium. Through frequent travel to Thailand they were faced with the often difficult living conditions of Thai people in the North and South of the country. Together they decided to do something about it. Over the years they supported different projects in Thailand.
Fund Isaan faces, like any other organization and/or individual, the consequences of the Covid-19 crisis.
The Thai government has issued an emergency decree, which includes a ban of foreigners entering Thailand enforced across the country from March 26 until April 30. Most international flights have been cancelled to minimize the risk of additional imported cases.
