Fund Isaan granted Jojo a scholarship when he was 18 years old and studied Electrics at Prasat Industrial and Community Education College. Jojo lived with a family of three. His mother who run a small noodles shop in the village, a younger sister who studied in high school. After divorced his mother, Jojo’s father left and disappeared.

When we granted Kiet a scholarship in 2012, he was 18 years old and studied Auto mechanic at Sangkha Industrial and Community Education College.

Kiet wanted to continue another two years to obtain his high certificate in the same area and his biggest dream was to graduate with a bachelor’s degree.

Fund Isaan granted Pop a scholarship in 2012, when he was studying Auto Mechanic at Sangkha Industrial and Community Education College. Pop wanted to graduate with a high certificate, which would substantially improve his position on the labor market.  

Pop lived in Baan Chob Sa Ming, located in the Sangkha district in Surin province. His family included his mother and his younger sister. His parents’ divorced long time ago and Pop never seen or heard from his father again.

Fund Isaan granted Benz a scholarship in 2014 when he was 18 years old and had just finished high school at Sangkha Industrial and Community Education College with a grade of 75%. He studied Auto Mechanic. Benz’s biggest dream was to open a car accessories and installation business. For that, he needed to continue his studies and obtain a his high certificate. Regretfully the family could not afford this.

When we first met Pu he lived with his parents in Baan Ta Mome Patthana village. His parents both worked as construction workers and on the rice fields during harvesting season. Pu had an older brother who worked as a picture frame maker in another province. Together, they made about 9,000 THB to survive each month.
